• Dr. Lisa Mendoza Knecht is an Educational Research Associate for the Center of Educational Leadership at Trinity University in San Antonio, TX. Her research interests include Chicanx/Latinx educational issues and policy, Chicanx/Latinx leadership, community organization leadership, and Chicana feminism. Lisa is a UCEA (University Council for Educational Administration) Barbara Jackson Scholar for 2020-2021, and a 2020-2021 TACHE (Texas Association of Chicanos in Higher Education) graduate fellow. Lisa has nearly 20 years of experience as a secondary teacher in both urban and rural school districts and served as Education Director for the San Antonio grassroots organization MAS (Mexican American Studies) for the Masses from 2015-2021. She lives in San Antonio with her partner and two children.
